Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) has a six-point lead against former Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-Fla.) in the Florida Senate race, according to a new poll by Napolitan News Service.
The same poll shows former President Trump leading Vice President Harris by two points, 50 percent to 48 percent, in the Sunshine State.
The survey of 774 likely voters was conducted before Hurricane Helene swept through the state, causing billions of dollars of property damage and killing more than a dozen people.
Forty-five percent of the poll’s respondents identified as Republicans and 7 percent identified as lean-GOP, while 35 percent identified as Democrat and 9 percent identified as lean-Democrat.
Only five percent of the respondents said they weren’t sure for whom they would vote.
The news service released the poll on the same day that Scott joined President Biden to survey the storm damage in Keaton Beach, Florida.
Biden thanked Scott for giving him the information he needed about what’s needed from the federal recovery effort.
