WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – With just over a month until Election Day the economy continues to play a huge factor in the campaign.
Vice President Kamala Harris applauded the progress that she says the Biden-Harris administration has made to better the economy but says the work is not done.
“We need to lower the cost of living because look, our economy, while, we’re making good progress, there’s still more work we need to do,” said Harris.
Harris says as president she would do more to make everyday life more affordable for Americans.
“Prices for everyday things like groceries are still too high. You know it and I know. So, we have a plan to lower cost on everything from healthcare to groceries,” said Harris.
Ohio Senator JD Vance warns against letting Harris take the helm on the economy.
“She talks about how she’s going to tackle the inflation crisis, the affordability crisis. My friends, the affordability crisis is on us because of Kamala Harris’s leadership. Let’s get back to the commonsense leadership of Donald J. Trump,” said Vance.
Vance says four more years under former president Donald Trump will bring progress to the U.S. in the form of more American manufacturing.
“If the future presidency of Donald J. Trump represents anything it is that we are getting back to stamp more products Made in the USA,” said Vance.
On Saturday Trump will return to Butler, Pennsylvania for the first time since the assassination attempt. Meanwhile, Harris will go to North Carolina to survey damage from Hurricane Helene.
