Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey namedrops Gulf of America in address

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) — Academic gains in Alabama’s public school system and a commitment to using levers of government to support President Donald Trump’s “mission” are two of several things Gov. Kay Ivey spoke on during her annual State of the State address.

Ivey, who has been governor of Alabama since 2017, held the speech in the Old House Chamber of the state Capitol Building.

The speech started at around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
