WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Election Day is exactly two weeks away.  Both campaigns are hitting the pavement in key battleground states, as polls show a very tight race in the final stretch.

Vice President Kamala Harris is off the trail Tuesday. She’s taping interviews and trying to reach out to Latino voters. Former president Donald Trump is returning to North Carolina for a second day.

Former President Trump started his day trying to get the support of Latino voters in south Florida.

“We’re actually leading with Hispanics, that never happened before,” said Trump.

Trump says if he’s elected, he won’t need Congress to address the southern border.

“It’s called extreme power. You can just with by the fact you say close the border and the border is closed,” said Trump.

Not only is Trump attacking Harris on policy, but also her strategy.

“She’s sleeping right now, she couldn’t go on the trail you know. You think when you have 14 days left you wouldn’t be sleeping,” said Trump.

Vice President Harris was in Washington, D.C., doing interviews, one of them with Telemundo, as her campaign tries to highlight her policies for Latino voters.  The second interview was with NBC News.

For Team Harris one of the biggest names in the Democratic party, former president Barack Obama, hit the trail.

Obama was with VP nominee Tim Walz in Wisconsin, as early voting gets underway there.

“When the stakes are the highest winners are the ones that step and that’s exactly what we’re going to do,” said Walz.

In the coming days both candidates will rally supporters in non-traditional areas.

Harris will hold a rally in Houston on Friday. Trump will also hold a rally in New York City this weekend.
